The Natural Disasters Management Authority has reported that five individuals have died and substantial financial losses have occurred due to floods and storms in Kabul and seven other provinces over the past few days.
The Natural Disasters Management Authority released an official report indicating that devastating natural disasters and floods across various provinces have resulted in at least five fatalities and significant financial losses for citizens. According to statistics provided by the agency, the natural disasters in these provinces have led to the complete or partial destruction of 30 residential homes, 15 shops, 86 kilometers of road, one strategic bridge, and a large water supply network. The floods have also severely impacted agriculture and renewable energy, destroying over 2,000 jeribs of farmland, 285 solar panels, and six vehicles belonging to citizens. In its overall assessment of the climatic crisis, the agency revealed that since the beginning of the year 1405, a total of 314 people in Afghanistan have died due to various natural disasters, with an additional 397 individuals injured.
