In its latest announcement, the UNDP revealed that it has successfully supplied electricity to 800 health and educational facilities in 19 provinces of Afghanistan. This initiative aims to enhance public service access and improve the delivery of essential services to the country’s residents.
According to the organization’s statement, the provided facilities include 621 schools, 154 health centers, 18 district hospitals, and seven provincial hospitals. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the quality of educational and health services in various regions of the country.
Previously, the UNDP had emphasized that through the implementation of solar energy projects, over 1.2 million people would gain access to essential health and educational services throughout Afghanistan. These projects are anticipated to have a positive impact on the lives of individuals in remote areas.
The provision of electricity to health and educational centers is particularly crucial, as it can improve health conditions and increase educational opportunities in the country. Furthermore, it is expected that with the new equipment and sustainable energy sources, the quality of services offered to the public will improve significantly.
