امریکا 2 550x295 - U.S. Plans Controversial Return of CIA-Trained Afghan Forces Amidst Rising Tensions

Abdul Karim Khurram, the former head of Hamid Karzai’s office, claimed that the U.S. has used the shooting of the National Guard as an excuse to return thousands of Afghan forces trained by the CIA that have been transferred to this country back to Afghanistan. He warned that the White House has been waiting for this opportunity and that this action could worsen the already complex situation in the region…

Was Washington waiting for this opportunity?

Abdul Karim Khurram, the former head of Hamid Karzai’s office, the former president of our country, revealed a controversial scenario in the relations between Washington and Kabul on Saturday (December 8) through a post on the social media platform X. He claimed that the United States intends to return thousands of Afghans trained by U.S. intelligence agencies to Afghanistan under the pretext of the recent shooting of members of its National Guard. Khurram wrote in this message that the return of some refugees to Afghanistan is one of four topics under discussion among American officials and the Taliban government in Kabul.

The White House was waiting for the opportunity

The former head of Karzai’s office, referring to Washington’s harsh actions in response to the recent attack, claimed that the main objective behind this scenario is hidden: From the manner of response and the severity of the action taken against the attack on two National Guard soldiers, it is evident that the White House has been eagerly awaiting this opportunity. It should not be used as an excuse to return thousands of CIA-trained individuals who were taken to the U.S. back to Afghanistan because the Afghan accused was also a member of these units. According to Khurram, it is possible that the assailant (Rahmanullah Lakanwal) was also a member of these trained units, and Washington is using this incident for the purge of forces that it likely no longer needs.

The hidden objective behind the expulsions

Khurram expressed concern that during this time, some other refugees, even from other countries, could be sent back to their countries to conceal the true purpose of the expulsions. He raised serious questions regarding Washington’s intentions, considering the regional sensitivities: If this happens, what will Washington’s objective be?? Especially as the situation in our region becomes increasingly complex. At the end of his remarks, this former Afghan official unequivocally condemned any act of terrorism and emphasized the need to refrain from terrorist actions.
