A UN Security Council monitoring committee has warned that two Pakistani extremist groups, Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), have now set up 11 training camps in the country since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan.

According to the Indian newspaper The Times of India, the monitoring committee revealed that the Jaish-e-Muhammad group, which is on the list of terrorist organizations, has set up eight training camps in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces bordering Pakistan, three of which are under control. It is directly the Taliban.

According to the report, Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistani anti-Indian terrorist group, has set up three training camps in Afghanistan.

According to the Times of India, India’s national security adviser Ajit Duval told a security meeting in the Tajik capital Dushanbe that concerns about the growing activity of extremist groups operating against India were a threat to the entire region.
