Afghanistan’s national cricket team ‘A’ achieved another victory in their second practice match against Qatar’s national team, the host of the Asian Youth Cup. This match took place last night in Doha, showcasing Afghanistan’s strength during the preparation phase.

Decisive defeat for the host team

In the first innings, the players of Afghanistan’s national team managed to set a target of 156 runs for the host team by losing five wickets in twenty overs.

In the second innings, the Qatari players attempted to reach the target set, but ultimately lost eight wickets in twenty overs, only managing to score 135 runs and facing a defeat by 20 runs against Darwish Rasooli’s team.

It is noteworthy that Afghanistan’s team ‘A’ had previously defeated Qatar by 65 runs in their first practice match.

Preparation for the Asian Youth Cup

The Asian Youth Cup competitions will start on November 14 with the participation of eight teams, hosted by Qatar in the city of Doha. Afghanistan is grouped with teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong, and the Blue Tigers of Afghanistan will face Sri Lanka’s team ‘A’ in their first match on November 15.
