Taliban: The Muslims of Gaza Will Never Lose Their Identity

Abdullah Azzam, the head of Mullah Baradar’s office, emphasized the resilience of the Palestinian people in Gaza, stating that they will never abandon their land and identity.

Taliban’s Stance on Gaza

Abdullah Azzam condemned Israel’s crimes and described the violence in Gaza as unbearable. However, he stressed that the people of Gaza understand that leaving their land would mean permanent displacement and the loss of their identity.

He stated:

> “If the people of Gaza move elsewhere, they will remain displaced forever and lose their identity. Gaza is the symbol of their sacred resistance and identity.”

The Bitter Experience of Migration

Abdullah Azzam also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people by referring to Afghanistan’s history and the Taliban’s experiences of war and displacement. He stated:

> “We have also tasted the bitterness of migration and understand it very well.”

Taliban’s Support for the Palestinians

The Taliban have repeatedly declared their support for the Palestinian people and accused Israel of violating human rights and occupying Palestinian land. The group maintains that Palestine has the right to sovereignty over its land and that any attempt to resettle Palestinians elsewhere is unacceptable.
