General Sharifi: I have credible evidence of the theft of Ashraf Ghani

Ariana News Agency: General Atta Sharifi, a former presidential bodyguard, said he had images of Ashraf Ghani’s escape with packets of money recorded by the citadel’s CCTV cameras.

General Sharifi, who is now wanted by the Taliban, has said he will expose Ashraf Ghani’s theft if he is transferred to a safe place.

He said he had the citadel’s camera evidence to prove the theft, and would share evidence if he could be saved.

Ashraf Ghani; After fleeing Kabul, the fugitive president said in a statement that he had left Kabul to stop the bloodshed. He also denied reports that large sums of money had been transferred while fleeing Kabul.

Ashraf Ghani fled the country with the arrival of the Taliban. After his escape, he apologized to the people for not being able to handle the situation.

John Sapko; The US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction has said his office is investigating allegations that Ashraf Ghani transferred millions of dollars while fleeing Kabul.
