The Deputy Minister of the Taliban government has announced that over eight million Afghans have returned to their homeland from neighboring countries over the past five years, exacerbating economic challenges.

Abdul Salam Hanifi, the Deputy Minister under the Prime Minister of the Taliban, conveyed this information during a meeting with Yasmine Pradesimuz from the International Committee of the Red Cross. During the discussion, Hanifi emphasized the importance of collaboration among aid organizations and called for effective measures to support returning Afghans.
