Muslims Worldwide Urged to Support the Cause of Oppressed Palestinians The Taliban leadership has issued a statement following the reported the martyrdom of Yahya Sanwar, a prominent figure within Hamas, extending condolences to the group. Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Taliban’s deputy leader, expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Yahya Ibrahim Hassan Sanwar, referring to him as a martyr who fell in an attack by the Zionist occupation regime of Israel. He stated that martyrdom in Allah’s path is the ultimate aspiration of Mujahideen fighters. We extend our condolences to the Islamic movement of Hamas, the Mujahideen, and especially to the oppressed and resisting nation of Palestine. Akhund emphasized that occupying Israel should not expect the killing of Palestinian leaders to weaken the resistance. On the contrary, he declared that such crimes only fuel the jihadist struggle, further strengthening the resolve of the fighters. He called upon Muslims worldwide to support the Palestinian cause, urging them to fulfill what he referred to as a divine obligation to stand with the oppressed.
