پناهجو افغان پاکستان 550x295 - Human Rights Organizations Demand Halt to Forced Deportation of Afghan Migrants from Pakistan

A number of human rights organizations and refugee advocates have issued an open letter requesting the government of Pakistan to stop the forced deportation of Afghan migrants. These organizations emphasized that this action is in violation of international laws and Pakistan’s commitments towards refugees.

Human Rights Organizations Protest Pakistan’s Policy

Following the continued forced deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan, several human rights organizations have formally written to the government, stating that this action violates the basic rights of refugees and should be immediately halted.

According to these organizations, many Afghan migrants, particularly human rights defenders, civil activists, and women, have been forced to leave Afghanistan due to violence, harassment, political repression, and honor killings. These groups have warned that deporting these individuals will put their lives at risk.

Increased Pressure on Afghan Migrants

According to the letter, Pakistan’s strict policies against Afghan migrants, including detention, high visa fees, and mass deportation, have severely exacerbated the situation for Afghan refugees.

The letter emphasized that these actions have had widespread negative impacts on the lives of thousands of Afghan migrants, and Pakistan must adhere to its international commitments towards refugees.

Pakistan’s Deadline for Afghan Migrants to Leave

The Pakistani government has given Afghan migrants who are awaiting resettlement to Western countries until March 31 of this year to leave the country. This decision has faced widespread internal and international criticism.

Human rights organizations have called on Pakistan to stop its policy of forced deportation of Afghan migrants and to adhere to international refugee and human rights laws. As the deadline approaches, concerns about the fate of thousands of Afghan refugees have intensified.
