The US government in the latest move planned to cut $604 million of its allocated budget for Afghanistan military for building US-Mexico border wall.

Ariana News Agency-

Afghanistan acting Interior Minister Massoud Andarabi in a statement said US’s decision to allocate more than $600 million to build barriers on the border with Mexico won’t affect the security situation of the country.

Acting U.S. Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan on Friday approved the transfer of $1.5 billion to build barriers on the border with Mexico, including taking more than $600 million designated for beleaguered Afghan security forces, which are struggling to contain Taliban battlefield advances.

Colonel David Butler, spokesman for US Forces in Afghanistan noted the cost savings move will not impact “the effectiveness or the readiness” of Afghan security forces to fight terrorism.

Afghanistan armed forces is mainly relied on international especially US supports and without them their existence will come into question.

Experts say that the massive corruption among the authorities of Afghanistan Presidential Palace may led US government to make such decision as it is well aware of the Arg Authorities’ corruption and bribery through which it loses trust over Arg-settled Mafias.
