Zabihullah Mujahid, the senior spokesperson for the Taliban government, responded to the UN Security Council’s sanctions monitoring team’s report by asserting that Afghanistan does not host any foreign armed groups.

Mujahid stated that the groups mentioned in the report have no ties to Afghanistan, citing his sources: “The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan operates in Pakistan and has no connection to Afghanistan.”
