Sarwar Danesh, the Second Vice President of Afghanistan asked US and Taliban delegates to offer a firm guarantee to preserve achievements including freedom of press.

After two weeks of US-Taliban last peace talks in Qatar, the concerns have risen in Afghanistan government over preserving the achievements of the country during peace talks.

After Afghanistan security council’s harsh statements on the vague future of the talks, yesterday the second vice president also expressed his concern and asked both side to offer guarantee.

Hamdullah Mohib, the Afghanistan’s national security adviser lately noted that US has sought its colonial goals during the process of peace talks and through legitimizing Taliban, it tries to wipe out Afghanistan government from the equations of peace and finally implement its plan to form a colonial government headed by Zalmy Khalilzad.

Mr. Mohib’s statements caused tensions in US-Afghanistan ties and following that Sarwar Danesh demanded from both sides a guarantee to preserve Afghanistan people national achievements.

The Afghanistan officials are concerned that US seeks to cross the Afghanistan interests and pave the way for running its plans in Afghanistan soil.

Stressing on preserving Afghans people’s achievements including freedom of press Sarwar Danesh said: “Preserving Afghanistan’s past achievements will be realized only through the current political system based on our country’s constitution, since only our nation’s constitutions can preserve our achievements of the past 18 years.”
