Trump: America’s Withdrawal from Afghanistan is the Most Shameful Day in the Country’s History

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking during an election debate with current President Joe Biden, criticized Biden’s withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, calling it the “most shameful day” in American history.

Trump argued that the poorly executed withdrawal emboldened Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.

He stressed that Biden should have fired the generals responsible for the withdrawal.

Trump also noted that U.S. military equipment worth billions of dollars was left behind in Afghanistan.
