Ariana News Agency: The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has issued a statement condemning the violence against journalists and calling for its prosecution by Taliban officials.
“In recent days, we have witnessed several cases of violence against journalists, which has become a concern for journalists, the media, and institutions that support journalists and the media,” the statement said.
Condemning the violent behavior against journalists, the officials of the Committee to Protect Afghan Journalists called on the officials of the interim government of Afghanistan to pursue cases of violence against journalists in the light of the rules and laws and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The committee also calls on the officials of the new Afghan government to take serious measures to ensure the safety of journalists throughout the country.
