“During a military evacuation, Afghan refugees transferred from Afghanistan to France have had severe mental illnesses” officials at Human Rights Watch said.

“Afghans who have been transferred to France have suffered severe trauma, and many of them are struggling with their mental health,” said Jonas Bull, assistant human rights researcher at Human Rights Watch.

Boell called on the French government to provide a peaceful environment and high mental health support for all Afghan refugees.

It is worth mentioning that about 3,000 Afghans were transferred to France during the military evacuation from Kabul airport.
