The Save the Children Fund, an international organization, has released a report highlighting drought and poverty as the primary causes of escalating malnutrition among Afghan children.
The report stresses that Afghanistan’s children are currently experiencing an unprecedented crisis of hunger and malnutrition.
In a statement issued last month, the organization warned that approximately 8 million children in Afghanistan are likely to confront a severe hunger crisis in 2024.
The report also noted that over a third of the Afghan population is expected to suffer from acute food insecurity by March 2024.
