North Korea has awarded its highest honor, the “Kim Il Sung Order,” to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, North Korea presented this medal to President Putin for his “significant role in developing relations between the two countries and elevating them to the level of a leadership partnership.”
Radio Voice of Korea reported, “The Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the State Affairs Commission, and the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea decided to award the Kim Il Sung Order, the highest honor of the DPRK, to the President of the Russian Federation.”
