Violations of Airspace by Neighboring Countries

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban government spokesperson, accused the United States of violating Afghanistan’s airspace in an interview with a foreign media outlet. Mujahid stated that American drones enter the country’s airspace without coordination and prior permission.

The Taliban spokesperson said: We are fully aware that these drones are American drones that have been in the airspace of Afghanistan since the victory of the Emirate, and we are sorry about this.

He added that these drones pass through the airspace of some neighboring countries and then enter Afghanistan. Mujahid emphasized that this act is a clear violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and called for an immediate cessation of these flights. The Taliban spokesperson stated that the interim government has raised its objection in meetings they have attended and demanded an end to the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace.

Reiteration of Taliban’s Commitment Regarding TTP

In another part of this interview, Mujahid addressed the issue of the activities of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Afghanistan. He emphasized that the Taliban government will certainly not allow TTP to have a presence within Afghan territory and create security concerns.

The Taliban spokesperson noted that this issue has already been communicated to the Pakistani negotiating delegation, and they reiterate that they will never allow Afghan soil to be used against Pakistan or any other country.
