Over a Thousand Released Migrants Return Home

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations has reported an increase in the return of Afghan detainees in Pakistan, with 1,099 migrants recently returning after being released from detention facilities in the neighboring country. These individuals have crossed into Afghanistan through various border routes in the past 24 hours.

Distribution of Returnees at Border Crossings

According to information released by the ministry, these citizens have entered the country via two main border crossings: Turkhum and Spin Boldak. Among them, 896 returnees came through the Turkhum border in Nangarhar province, while another 203 returned via Spin Boldak in Kandahar province.

Provision of Emergency Assistance and Safe Transportation

Officials from the Ministry of Refugees have stated that all returning individuals were provided with initial humanitarian assistance after their identities and biometric information were carefully recorded. Following the initial care at the border, arrangements were made for their safe transport to their home areas and respective provinces.

Continued Detentions and Expulsions in the Neighboring Country
