The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations has reported an increase in the process of Afghan detainees returning from Pakistan, with 1,099 migrants having recently come back to Afghanistan after their release from the neighboring country’s detention centers. These individuals crossed the borders over the past 24 hours through various routes.

Statistics on Returnees at Border Crossings

According to information released by the Ministry, these citizens entered Afghanistan via two main border points, Torkham and Spin Boldak. Among them, 896 returned through the Torkham border in Nangarhar province, while 203 entered through Spin Boldak in Kandahar province.

Emergency Assistance and Safe Transfers to Homelands

Ministry officials emphasized that all returnees benefited from initial humanitarian services following the precise registration of their identity and biometric data. After receiving basic assistance at the border, arrangements have been made for their safe transfer to their primary areas and provinces of residence.
