Over 300 Afghan migrants returned to their home country after being released from prisons in Pakistan.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations under the Taliban government announced that this week, 325 Afghan migrants, including several children, returned to Afghanistan. They crossed into the country through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.
The ministry stated that these individuals were detained for various reasons while in Pakistan. The expulsion of Afghan migrants from both Pakistan and Iran has significantly intensified in recent weeks.
According to the International Organization for Migration, approximately 100,000 Afghan migrants have returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan in the past two weeks. This trend of deportations is rapidly increasing.
