Over 300 Afghan migrants have returned to their homeland after being released from Pakistani prisons.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation under the Taliban government has announced that this week, 325 Afghan migrants, including several children, have returned to the country. These individuals crossed into Afghanistan through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.
The ministry further stated that the migrants were detained in Pakistan for various reasons. The expulsion of Afghan migrants from both Pakistan and Iran has intensified in recent weeks.
According to the International Organization for Migration, around 100,000 Afghan migrants have been repatriated from Iran and Pakistan over the past two weeks. This trend of expulsions is witnessing a significant increase.
