The Tass news agency reported that Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has called on Afghanistan’s neighboring countries to establish relations with the country’s current authorities.
Commenting on Kyrgyzstan’s decision to remove the “Taliban” from its list of banned groups, Peskov emphasized the necessity for Kyrgyzstan, given its proximity to Afghanistan, to strengthen its ties with the Taliban government.
Earlier, Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, also told TASS that the process of removing the Taliban from the list of terrorist organizations is ongoing.
