OSCE سازمان امنیت و همکاری اروپا 550x295 - Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe: Afghanistan must not be forgotten

The Permanent Members of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) spoke in Vienna, Austria, about the situation in Afghanistan and its implications for the region.

Although it was said at the meeting that the world’s focus was more on Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the countries attending the summit stressed that Afghanistan should not be forgotten.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) declaration also emphasizes the impact of the situation in Afghanistan on Central Asian countries.

The current situation in Afghanistan has a direct impact on the region, according to a statement from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), quoted by Sweden’s Permanent Representative to the EU,  Ulrika Funered.

Tula Yrjölä, director of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Center for Conflict Prevention, said that given the current situation in Afghanistan, more assistance should be provided to Central Asia to strengthen regional flexibility.
