The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) has declared that families and individuals impacted by the earthquakes in Herat province require more resilient and sturdy shelters to endure the winter.
According to the OCHA report, a minimum of $93.6 million is necessary to assist the 114,000 individuals affected by the Herat earthquakes.
Daniel Peter Andris, the United Nations’ Humanitarian Aid Coordinator, who recently toured the areas affected by the Herat earthquake, stressed the importance of bolstering the initial relief efforts for these victims.
