The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has undertaken a significant initiative in Herat province, where it has constructed twenty water tankers designed to supply clean drinking water to over 10,000 individuals.
According to the Afghanistan division of this organization, a staggering 79 percent of the Afghan population lacks access to an adequate supply of potable water.
