After two years of investigation into the role of Australian soldiers in killing Afghan civilians, the country’s government has announced that it will pay compensation to the victims of this massacre.
After four years of investigation, the Australian Army confirmed that Australian forces stationed in Afghanistan killed at least 39 Afghan civilians and prisoners in Uruzgan Province.
Before this, the International Justice Center of Australia asked the government of that country to pay compensation to the families of Afghan civilians in Uruzgan province who were injured in the attacks of the Australian forces.
Based on Australian media reports, the Minister of Defense of Australia has also said that he intends to take back the medals of the country’s military commanders who committed crimes in the Afghanistan mission.
