Taliban officials reported the discovery and detonation of a 500-kilogram bomb in the Bangi district of Takhar. To prevent any unfortunate incidents, the bomb was moved to a sparsely populated area before being blown up.
Security officials from the Taliban announced the discovery and controlled explosion of a 500-kilogram bomb in the Bangi district of Takhar province. This bomb, leftover from past conflicts, was identified in the Nawabad Barja village.
Naqibullah Masroor, head of the Taliban’s press office in Takhar, stated that a technical team transported the bomb to the sparsely populated area known as “Ghozol-Darah” to prevent any potential accidents, and it was detonated following safety protocols.
It is noteworthy that mines and explosive remnants from four decades of conflict continue to pose a serious threat to civilian lives, particularly for children and farmers, jeopardizing public safety in many regions of the country.
