Once again, in northeastern Syria, villagers blocked U.S. military patrols by throwing stones at them and chanting slogans.

According to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA), residents of the village of Tal Aswad in the Qamishli district of al-Hasakah province gathered when they heard that American patrols were approaching their village with four trucks. They went to the road leading to the village to prevent the soldiers from passing.

They hurled stones at American personnel carriers and chanted slogans, forcing the American troops to flee while holding the Syrian flag.

It is not the first time the villagers have resisted U.S. troops, forcing them to retreat.
