The Afghanistan war which began in 2001 targeting al-Qaeda and Taliban groups by US forces has up to now almost 40000 Afghan civilians have died. Anti-government group like the Taliban is responsible for the majority of civilian casualties. The UN report in 2019 shows there 27% in civilian death. There is no accountability.
