UNHCR Assists Over 111,000 Afghan Refugees

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) released its one-year report, revealing that since September of last year, the agency has assisted 111,700 Afghan returnees. The report highlights that 48% of the aid recipients are women, while 2.5% are individuals with disabilities. Additionally, UNHCR reported that 71,100 of the returning Afghans from Pakistan were holding temporary asylum cards.
