Ariana News Agency- The chief executive officer of the NUG Abdullah Abdullah said at a national conference on peace in Kabul that armed oppositions have never been ready to negotiate with the government.
Addressing a national conference on peace in Kabul, CE Abdullah said that the Taliban’s lack of willingness to start talks with the government is the reason behind the prolongation of the peace process.
Mr. Abdullah also assured women, who are worried over the loss of their achievements in peace talks with the Taliban, that no one will regret the establishment of peace.
“the constitution of the country is a principle, in which the Afghan establishment is the Islamic Republic and all have the right to vote,” he emphasised.
“there is no deal on the constitution,” he added.
CEO Abdullah assured women that the national peace negotiating team will consider the demands of all segments of the society and factions in talks with the Taliban.
Lack of awareness on the peace process, fear of deal on the people’s lives and the Americans hastiness to resolve the Afghan stalemate have caused concerns among women.
