Taliban Revokes Previously Issued Weapon Carry Permits in Afghanistan The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior has announced that, following an order from the Taliban leadership, all previously issued permits for carrying weapons—including official letters, inquiries, and documentation—are now invalid. In a statement posted on X, Abdul Matin Qane, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, emphasized that licenses to carry weapons will be issued solely by the ministry. Qane further urged officials, Mujahideen, Taliban employees, and citizens to refrain from carrying or possessing weapons without proper authorization.
