Roudari Report Reveals Over 1,100 Civilian Casualties from Pakistani Military Operations in Afghanistan

The Human Rights Organization, Roudari, has released a report stating that military operations conducted by Pakistan between December 2024 and June 2026 have resulted in at least 1,187 civilian casualties in Afghanistan. The organization has also reported the destruction of hundreds of homes, damage to public facilities, and the displacement of thousands, calling for independent investigations.

Heavy Toll on Civilians from Military Actions

The recent report from Roudari reveals that during the specified period, 472 civilians were killed and 715 others injured. The victims include men, women, and children, with airstrikes and shelling reportedly targeting provinces such as Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Helmand, and Kabul.

Allegations of 50 Air, Rocket, and Ground Attacks

The report indicates that Pakistani forces conducted about 50 air, rocket, and ground assaults, many of which occurred at night or in the early hours without prior warning.

Roudari asserts that these operations violate international humanitarian law and fail to adequately protect civilians.

Destruction and Displacement

According to the findings, these attacks have damaged or completely destroyed 394 residential homes, dozens of schools, mosques, health centers, and shops.

The organization also noted that approximately 29,000 people have been forced to flee their homes due to these military actions.

Roudari: ‘Camp Omid Was a Civilian Center’

In part of its report, Roudari characterized the attack on Camp Omid in Kabul as an assault on a civilian facility, indicating that most of the victims were patients and staff members of the center.

Call for Independent Investigations

In conclusion, the Roudari Organization has called for an impartial and independent investigation into Pakistan’s military operations and has stressed the need to hold accountable those responsible for violations against civilians.

To date, Pakistan has not responded formally to the claims outlined in this report.
