Haqqani: The Palestinian People Will Prevail Anas Haqqani, a senior member of the Taliban, marked October 7 by posting on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the date signifies the beginning of the historic 20-year resistance, during which Afghans “once again demonstrated their commitment to the values of religion and freedom, and their readiness to make any sacrifice, as their ancestors did.” Haqqani further noted that the two-decade resistance against NATO and the United States proved that material power alone cannot overcome the resolve of a determined nation. In reference to the Palestinian struggle, Haqqani expressed that the unwavering determination and sacrifices of the Palestinian people signal an eventual victory for their cause.
