According to a statement released on Saturday, August 1, by Breshna, the CEO met with Akmal Jumonazirov, the head of the technical regulation authority under the Council of Ministers of Uzbekistan, to discuss strategies for expanding technical cooperation and raising standards in Afghanistan’s electricity sector.

Request for Transfer of Technical Knowledge

The CEO of Breshna urged Uzbek officials to assist with the calibration of laboratory equipment in line with international standards, standardization of laboratories, the establishment of mobile laboratories, and specialized training for staff. Breshna emphasized that implementing these initiatives could significantly enhance the accuracy and speed of identifying and resolving technical issues within Afghanistan’s electricity network.

The Breshna statement noted that Uzbekistan’s technical regulation authority has expressed its readiness to cooperate in these areas.
