The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior denies any involvement in weapons smuggling from Afghanistan to Pakistan, stating that weapons under their control are securely stored.

In response to recent reports of weapons being smuggled from Afghanistan to Pakistan, Abdul Matin Qane, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior under the caretaker government, firmly denied any involvement. He stated that these weapons do not belong to the Afghan government, emphasizing that all arms under the control of Afghan security agencies are securely stored. Pakistani media recently reported that intelligence agencies in Pakistan intercepted a shipment of American-made weapons, which had been transported by car and was allegedly being smuggled into Pakistan through the Torkham border crossing.
