A joint report by the WFP and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations highlights a concerning rise in food insecurity across these nations, driven by conflict, climate crises, and economic challenges. The report warns that these factors could push millions into severe hunger in the coming months. The report further states, “Twenty-two countries, including Afghanistan, have been identified as critical hunger hotspots requiring urgent intervention.”
