Zakharova: ISIS seeks to weaken the stability of Central Asia

The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, referring to the activities of ISIS in Afghanistan, assessed the security situation as dire.

“Besides working against the Taliban, ISIS in Afghanistan seeks to weaken the stability of Central Asia with the support of foreign forces,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova added.

Zakharova stated without referring to a specific country that foreign intelligence services are responsible for financing the ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan.

About two weeks ago, during his visit to Tajikistan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that America supports ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
