Ariana News Agency: According to the World Food Program, in January 2022, the incomes of 80% of households in Afghanistan fell sharply, and the people of Kabul suffered the most.

The Asia-Pacific section of the World Food Program tweeted that the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan has deteriorated in recent months and that 95 percent of Afghanistan’s population is currently malnourished.

It also stressed that in January 2022, the incomes of 80% of households in Afghanistan fell sharply, with the people of Kabul suffering the most.

The tweet goes on to say that a large number of households in Afghanistan did not earn any money during the winter.

The World Food Program (WFP) has previously stated that urgent humanitarian assistance must be increased to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan, as more than half of Afghanistan’s population is starving.
