Mary Eileen McGrotty, director of the World Food Program in Afghanistan, has said that the scale of the crisis in Afghanistan is very obvious and that many families are arguing over the arrangement of food on their tables every day.
Nearly 19 million people in Afghanistan are at risk of food insecurity, and another six million are at risk of food insecurity, McGrotty said.
The World Food Program says that 9 out of 10 people in Afghanistan do not have enough food to eat.
