Washington Examiner: Biden failed in practice to issue special visas to afghans

The Washington Examiner reported on the government’s commitments to Afghans to be issued special visas and transferred to the United States. Still, according to the newspaper, Biden’s administration has failed to do so.

The newspaper writes that the Biden administration asked the court to extend the SIV program in late May. This program was for nine months, and now this period is in its final stage.

The extension is significant because 78,000 people seeking special visas or SIVs remain in Afghanistan.
