Ariana News Agency: The United Nations says Afghan women need more support now than ever before.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) tweeted that the purpose of the humanitarian aid to Afghanistan was to increase assistance to women by providing food, health care, education, livelihood opportunities, and protection services.

It said the fundamental rights of Afghan women had been attacked and that they now needed support more than ever.

The Taliban, after taking complete control of Afghanistan, have imposed widespread restrictions on women’s emancipation. The group has fired female government employees.
