Ariana News Agency: In response to the recent deaths of children in Kunduz and Kandahar, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has expressed grave concern about the violation of children’s rights in Afghanistan.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has issued a statement saying the killing of two children in an attack on worshipers at the Fatemieh Mosque in Kandahar has raised concerns about the grave violation of children’s rights in Afghanistan.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has added that children should be protected and should not have to pay for conflicts.
Meanwhile, more than 100 worshipers were killed and more than 240 others were injured in ISIL attacks on Shiite worshipers in Kandahar, as well as in a group attack on a mosque in Kunduz last week.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the two bloody incidents.
Earlier, the Taliban said that ISIL had no place in Afghanistan and could not disrupt the country’s security.
