UNICEF has announced that the clean water crisis in Afghanistan poses a serious threat to the lives of the country’s children. Dr. Tajudeen Oyewale, UNICEF’s representative in Afghanistan, has called for continued international efforts and support to provide water in 2025.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) stated that the clean water crisis in Afghanistan endangers children’s lives in the country.
Dr. Tajudeen Oyewale, UNICEF’s representative in Afghanistan, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that the water crisis is a threat to children’s survival in the country and cannot be ignored.
He expressed gratitude to UNICEF’s donors and partners, who, according to him, helped one million children in Afghanistan in 2024.
Dr. Oyewale added that now, with 2025 just beginning, efforts to provide water in Afghanistan must continue.
