During the meeting, Anwar emphasized the need for Islamabad and Kabul to take joint and decisive actions to enhance trade relations between Afghan and Pakistani businesses.
Currently, the bilateral trade volume between Afghanistan and Pakistan stands at $522 million. Anwar pointed out that establishing banking channels between the two countries could significantly boost this figure.
He also noted potential growth in the export of carpets, rice, and machinery parts from Lahore to Afghanistan.
The report highlighted that the ongoing political instability involving the Pakistani government and the Taliban has adversely affected trade activities between the two nations.
