Thomas Nicholson: Attacking education is attacking Afghanistan’s future

EU Special Envoy to Afghanistan Thomas Nicholson said in response to the killing of an Afghan-Turkish school principal in Kandahar that an attack on education was an attack on the future of Afghanistan and its youth.

“We offer our condolences to the slain Afghan-Turkish school principal’s family, colleagues, students, and friends,” Nicholson wrote on Twitter.

“Turkey is generously offering an ambitious training program and grant to Afghans,” Nicholson wrote.

“The attack on education is an attack on the future of Afghanistan and its youth,” Nicholson condemned the attack.
