According to new studies classifying the integrated food security phase, severe food insecurity continues across Afghanistan. A collapsing economy and drought have deprived nearly 20 million Afghans of food.
The analysis is supported in January and February by several UN agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Food Program, and non-governmental organizations sponsored by the organization.
