The Taliban have banned the group from using smartphones

The Taliban-led government’s defense ministry has banned the use of smartphones by the group’s forces on military bases.

Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, the acting head of the Taliban Ministry of Defense, said that the group’s forces were using smartphones, which wasted time and harmed their minds.

Mujahid said that, except for commanders, other Taliban militants were not allowed to use smartphones.

The head of the Taliban Ministry of Defense has said that the ministry is committed to equipping its forces with an Islamic spirit free from denial.
