Saudi’s crude oil dollar talks for its authorities in many ways. From bringing in the latest technology to the country and turning it from a tribal region into a high modern country, to vicious and brutal activities that the money has been spent on.
The money earned from crude oil exports is not usually spent on constructional and social fields, while the vicious and brutal activities are the other side of the coin.
Some political and economy experts believe that Saudis spend their money in some of Islamic crisis-hit countries including Afghanistan, Sweden, Mali, Libya and Nigeria for funding and supporting their terrorist groups.
The centers funded by Saudis in above-mentioned countries are apparently working on cultural or social affairs but indeed their primary focus is on terrorist activities in accordance with Saudi’s wishes.
The Islamic Bank of Afghanistan, which formerly named as Bakhtar Bank has been mostly focused on economic development coverage, which has been turned in to a tool for Saudis’ hand with the help of an Afghan politician Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.
According to a reliable source from Afghanistan Presidential Palace, after Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the leader of the Hezb-e Islami political party deployed his forces in Kabul, he mostly tried to make an assured financial channel for Saudis.
The Bakhtar Bank’s share was bought by Hekmatyar’s Hezb-e Islamic party and it renamed as Afghanistan Islamic Bank.
Some reports revealed by Afghanistan Security Service indicate that the bank has been a good cover for money laundering activities in Afghanistan with the aim of supporting Islamic hasty currents and militant groups such as al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
The Islamic Bank of Afghanistan, in recent months has been able to gain work permission in most of Afghanistan provinces, an action similar to that can be found in other crisis-hit countries such as Sudan and some African countries.
