There have been recorded 7041 cases of violence and abuse against Afghanistan women in 2019-2020, Ms. Spoghmai Wardak the deputy of Afghanistan Ministry of Women’s Affairs said in a news conference yesterday in Kabul.
The deputy considered 51 of the cases as harsh and serious and the violence included murder, rape, suicide and filed trial.
The report shows that most of these violence happened in Ghor, Badghis, Faryab, Jowzjan, Takhar, Nangarhar and Kabul provinces.
The increase of violence against Afghanistan women has raised concerns of Afghanistan human rights commission. Shokrolla Mashkor, the Commission’s spokesman stated that the cases have increased 8 numbers in the recent year.
The report also pointed out to the incident happened to one of Afghani women called Laal Bibi who received the harshest violence from her husband in January this year.
